Liverpool battle City for 16-year-old midfield gem

Liverpool are reportedly pushing to sign 16-year-old German midfielder Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha BSC, with both Liverpool and Manchester City said to have already submitted formal offers.
The highly rated teenager is seen as one of Europe’s brightest midfield prospects and is expected to develop into a top-level player in the future. Liverpool view him as a long-term investment to strengthen their midfield depth, especially with his ability to play both as a defensive and central midfielder.

If he joins Liverpool F.C., he could provide additional cover and allow players like Ryan Gravenberch more freedom in midfield. At Manchester City, he would be considered a potential understudy to Rodri.
Hertha Berlin are expected to demand a significant fee before allowing one of their most promising young talents to leave.
