Liverpool Face Setback in Move for Bournemouth Midfielder
Liverpool’s interest in Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has received a setback, with the Cherries determined to keep hold of the talented 22-year-old.
New Reds boss Andoni Iraola is reportedly eager to reunite with Scott after their time together at Bournemouth. However, Bournemouth are working hard to secure the midfielder on a new long-term contract and have no intention of letting him leave easily.
Scott has become a key player since arriving from Bristol City in 2023, making 80 Premier League appearances and establishing himself as one of the league’s most promising young midfielders.

His performances last season further highlighted his quality, contributing three goals and one assist while featuring regularly in Bournemouth’s midfield.
Although Liverpool admire Scott’s ability and versatility, Bournemouth are expected to demand a fee higher than their current record sale, making any potential deal difficult to complete.
