Reports suggest that Liverpool’s incoming head coach is already influencing transfer plans ahead of the summer window, even before his official announcement.
A key area being discussed is attacking reinforcements, alongside a possible midfield addition. Although centre-back recruitment is not seen as a top priority by the club, the new coach reportedly wants to bring in a defender he has previously worked with.
The player in question is a highly rated young centre-back currently at Real Madrid, valued at around €70m. He is considered strong in the air, physically dominant, and already experienced in top-level European football despite his young age.
However, the move is far from straightforward. The defender has established himself at Real Madrid this season, featuring regularly in both domestic and European competitions, and is believed to be content with his current role. There are also concerns around his injury record, with several short absences already in his first season.
